CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends.
Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis through treatment and beyond at 11 support and wellbeing centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
Their aim is to help people live with and beyond their or their loved ones cancer diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to them for help and support.
Shona MacAskill, Financial Consultant, has nominated CLAN Cancer Support as her chosen charity in 2016 and actively fundraises throughout the year. Commenting on CLAN, Shona said “It’s important to me to support local charities and throughout the year I do what I can to raise awareness of their work and in some small way, help them work towards their fundraising target. CLAN is a charity close to my heart and I believe the work they do has an immensely positive impact on those living with and affected by cancer.”
